It can't be tintero. It is a cut in a letter. I undersand the meaning, but don't know the word in Spanish. Should be something like "vértices exagerados", "ángulos marcados" or someting like that.

As Mercedes said, inkwell literally means "tintero" in Spanish, which is the bottle that contains ink... I don't know if there is a different meaning for the separate word "ink well".

Inkwell is a noun and means “tintero”. Ink well are two different words: ink, as a noun means “tinta”, but, as a verb means “entintar” . Therefore, I’d translate ink well into Spanish as: “entintado” or maybe “marcado en negritas”, according to the context. What do you think?

I think that it is a little ink reservoir in the cast metal type used to ensure the ink supply.

I don know a word in spanish for that, lo traduciría como "reservorio de tinta" o "pequeño depósito de tinta", dependiendo el significado del contexto.

Me olvidé, creo que "tintero" es del todo incorrecto, ya que se refiere a un depósito de tinta específico, el que se usa para mojar la lapicera o el pincel para escribir o pintar.
