Question from bruno toscano:
side-loaded driveContext: A heavy-duty power take off is installed over the engine flywheel to transmit engine power to the compressor and supply air blower. The power take off combines a direct in-line drive for running the compressor and a **side-loaded drive** for operation of the blower.
Grazie in anticipo!

I understand italian only a little, but I think I got the idea and considering that spanish is rather close I'll try to help.I think that the power is trasmitted from the motor to the compressor "directly", or in the same geometrical line, by the motor axle by means of some type of coupling, and that there is some sort of lateral trasmission mechanism that leads power to the blower.
En español sería: la caja de trasmisión combina una salida de potencia directa para el compresor y una lateral para el ventilador o soplador.
It is not clear what kind of machine is the blower, I should need more context.
I hope it would be of some help.
Ciao, Juan

Hi, thank you for you answer! The word "blower" is translated in italian with "soffiatore", a kind of compressor. Anyway, I have finished the manual, so everything is ok! In this link you can find a general example of a blower : http://www.labds.com/Laboratory-Furniture/laboratory-blowers-ducting.aspxHave a nice day!
