Born and raised in the Netherlands, 4 years in London and since 30+ years in France, I am perfectly trilingual but only translate into French, from Dutch and English. With bilingual parents (mother French, father Dutch) and with a gift for languages, I speak French and Dutch since my youngest days and English since I was 9, and I think I was predestined to become a translator. I've been translating ever since. After over 20 years, I still love my job. Playing with words, transmitting the sens of foreign words into French, and to make them appeal to the French market, has become a real passion and I cannot imagine my life without it. Fast typist, I have a turnover of about 3000 words per day on a reasonably difficult text, much more on easy, day-to-day texts. In addition to my own vocabulary, gained over the years, I dispose of all necessary dictionaries and other correctors in order to return a perfectly translated document.
